It is your Special Day with Dare 2B Artzy

Hello, my crafty friends and welcome back!

I have another fun card for Dare 2B Artzy today featuring this month’s Clubhouse stamp and die set for February called Spring Chicken.

I have decided that I am ready for Spring when I get excited to make Spring themed cards more than cards with snowmen on them, LOL!

Today’s card was quick and easy.

To start, I ink blended a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut to 4 x 5 ¼. I randomly blended Salvaged Patina and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks onto my cardstock. I didn’t have a particular blending pattern in mind, I just wanted to get some ink on my paper randomly until it was completely covered.

Next, I used the Quilted Flower Background Die from Dare 2B Artzy and cut it using some pinkish-coral colored cardstock. The Quilted Flower background die also measures 4 x 5 ¼, so it completely covers my ink blended background and looks so pretty with the bright colors peeking through from my ink blending.

I glued the ink blended panel and the Quilted Flower background together with some Bearly Arts Liquid glue and set it aside to dry.

Next, I cut an oval frame using the Oval Framelets Dies. Using the 3 1/4-inch oval framelet and the 2 7/8-inch framelet, I taped them together so that they wouldn’t shift when I die cut them. I ran them through my die cutting machine with a piece of light green cardstock. This created a ¼ inch frame that I was able to place around the 2 7/8 oval I cut from Neenah Solar White cardstock. This is where I stamped the sentiment, it is your SPECIAL DAY.

Finally, I stamped the adorable female chicken and the bouquet of flowers from the Spring Chicken stamp set with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink which is alcohol marker friendly. I colored up both images with my Sketchmarker Brush Pro alcohol markers. Once I was finished, I used the coordinating die set to cut them out.

I added my sentiment to my card front with some liquid glue and then popped up my colored hen and the flowers with some dimensional foam.

The finished panel was added to an A2 side folding card base and I covered the front of the card base with a piece of the striped cardstock from the Sweetmobile Paper Pack.

The Quilted Flower background piece was added to the card base with a layer of dimensional foam also.

For a finishing touch and a lot of sparkle I added some Aussie Opal Brilliant Glass Rhinestones to the center of each of the flowers in the background. Brilliant doesn’t even begin to describe the sparkle of these rhinestones. They are so pretty.

I added some Gelly Roll Stardust to the bows in my hen’s hair and her eye shadow as well the flower bouquet centers.

That finished off my fun Spring card featuring the Dare 2B Artzy February Clubhouse set called Spring Chicken.

If you love this stamp set, I encourage you to check out the Artzy Clubhouse monthly subscription. It is a great value and encourages you to get crafty each month.

Have a wonderfuly crafty day!
