Thankful & Artzy

Hello, my crafty friends! Welcome back!

Today I’m sharing a card featuring the beautiful new Earthy Impressions stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy. This unique set includes five large nature-inspired texture stamps, making it perfect for anyone who loves getting inky and creating grungy, textured backgrounds. Whether you’re using Gelli Plates, creating junk journals, or simply love mixed media techniques, this set is sure to inspire your creativity.

One of my favorite features is the coordinating die set. Not only does it perfectly complement the stamps, but the dies also include incredible detailed cut lines that open up even more creative possibilities.

To begin my card, I started with an A2-sized panel of heavyweight white cardstock. I chose the beautifully textured oak leaf stamp and positioned it horizontally in the center of the panel. After lining it up, I inked the stamp with embossing ink and stamped it several times to ensure all of the gorgeous details transferred. I then sprinkled on copper embossing powder and heat embossed the image until it was beautifully shiny.

Next, I stamped the oak leaf two more times—one above and one below the embossed leaf—rotating them in the opposite direction for added interest. I used Delicata Sapphire Blue pigment ink for these images, and I absolutely love the striking contrast between the rich blue and the warm copper.

Since there is a coordinating die, I cut the detailed oak leaf from copper glitter cardstock. The intricate vein details are stunning! A die pick made quick work of removing the tiny pieces, and the die cut through the glitter cardstock beautifully.

With the die-cut leaf set aside, I added some Walnut Stain Distress Ink around the edges of the background panel. This soft ink blending created a warm glow that really draws attention to the stamped leaves.

Even after the ink blending, I felt the background could use just a little something extra, so I added a light mist of Antique Linen Distress Spritz. The subtle shimmer and delicate splatter added the perfect finishing touch, giving the background even more depth and interest.

Once everything was completely dry, I adhered the copper glitter die-cut leaf over the heat-embossed center image, creating a beautiful focal point with lots of sparkle and dimension.

For the sentiment, I used the Grateful Layered Word Die Set from Dare 2B Artzy and selected the “Thankful” word die. I cut it three times from blue matte foil cardstock and stacked the layers together with liquid glue for added dimension before adhering it over the glittery oak leaf.

To finish assembling the card, I added foam adhesive to the back of the completed panel and mounted it onto a piece of dark brown cardstock. I then adhered everything to an A2 top-folding card base made from 110 lb cardstock. My focal panel measures 3⅝ inches wide, leaving a narrow white border on each side. I originally planned to trim the card base, but I ended up loving the clean framed look, so I left it just as it was.

As a final touch, I added a few iridescent clear gems to the card front. They catch the light beautifully and subtly pick up the blue tones throughout the design.

That finishes my card for today! As always, you’ll find a complete list of the products I used linked below for your convenience.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hugs,

Tonya
