A little Secret Santa fun!

Hello,

I’m just popping in today to share a couple of mini projects I had last week. A few of our staff participate in the Secret Santa gift exchange.

For me that’s a great time to give some hand made cards  or tags with my gifts for my Secret Santa.

This year I did a couple of different things. First off is this gift tag that I created using the Toasty Greetings stamp set from My Favorite Things. The expression on the snowman’s face is just priceless.

I colored this with my Copic markers and a12341407_10205124598141886_1394615664201481864_ndded a couple embellishments. The mini tag is from Mama Elephant and I cut it using the mini tag dies and stamped it with the Mini Messages stamp set. This set is super cute if you haven’t seen it. The mini stamps are not just for Christmas there are also some generic type messages that could be used for several occasions. It’s a great set to have in your stash.

I added a few layers to the tag and punched a hole to put a piece of gold cord through to tie it to my gift.

The second project that I created is this awesome tree from the Concord and 9th, Take a Bough die set. The set comes with 8 dies and it can be used to make a multitude of various things, but most notably is this tree.

I can’t express how really cool this set is. I’m really in love with these cute little paper trees that are so easy to make and are great to give as fun little crafty gifts to your friends and family. Plus, you don’t have to stick with the standard green tree – you can do any color tree imaginable.

For the base of my tree I purchased some little Birch disks from Hobby Lobby and had my hubby drill a hole in the center to put the bamboo stick through. You could also get a mini clay pot and paint or decorate it and then add some mini rocks and put the tree base down into the rocks to hold it in place. Note, if you decide to do that, make sure that you purchase some 18 inch bamboo sticks instead of the 12. For this project I used the 12.

Hope you enjoyed these cute projects and that it inspires you to create something fun for your Secret Santa or friends!
