Spellbinders Turn the Page Collection by Esther Glas
Hello friends, and welcome!
Today I’m excited to share several projects featuring the beautiful new Turn the Page collection from Esther Glas for Spellbinders. This collection is designed with memory keeping in mind, whether you enjoy journaling, creating MemoryDex-style cards, or assembling Rolodex and flip-style albums.
The collection includes everything you need to preserve life’s special moments, including five coordinating die sets, four stamp sets, a gorgeous paper collection filled with vintage-inspired patterns and ledger designs, cardstock die cuts, border and label stickers, and rub-ons.
Although I’ve admired this style of memory keeping for quite some time, this was actually my first opportunity to create with it—and I absolutely loved it! Working with these products sparked so many creative ideas, and I quickly realized that they can be used for much more than traditional memory keeping.
For today’s projects, I’ll be featuring the Torn Edges CardLab Etched Dies along with the Number Field 3D Embossing Folder.
The Torn Edges CardLab Dies are designed to coordinate with the CardLab Box, which holds your completed MemoryDex-style cards. The unfinished box measures approximately 4.625″ x 4.625″ x 2″ and can be painted, covered with patterned paper, or decorated to match your own style. I’ll definitely be ordering one to store all of my finished cards!
Torn Edges CardLab Dies
This impressive die set includes 31 dies and offers endless creative possibilities.
The main card measures 4.75″ x 4″ and features the classic Rolodex-style notches along the bottom so it fits perfectly inside the CardLab Box. The set also includes a coordinating torn-edge layering rectangle, a large rounded tag with a matching torn-edge overlay, three smaller tag sizes, month tabs, a “This Month” label, decorative hole reinforcers for every season, layered heart dies, and a beautiful layered Splendid sentiment.
Simply put—this die set is packed with possibilities!
Since I didn’t have the coordinating Turn the Page stamps or additional die sets (yet!), I decided to mix things up by pairing the CardLab dies with several other favorite Spellbinders collections. The month labels included in the set were perfect for creating seasonal memory cards.
May Card – Pansy Seed Company
For my first project, I reached for the Pansy Seed Company die set, which was the Small Die of the Month from April 2026.
I die cut several colorful pansies, the adorable terracotta flower pot, and plenty of greenery before assembling my floral arrangement.
Using the rounded tag die, I cut the base from Spellbinders Fawn cardstock and embossed it with the Number Field 3D Embossing Folder. A light mist of water before embossing helps prevent cracking and gives a beautifully crisp impression.
To highlight the embossed numbers, I gently brushed a shimmery pigment ink across the raised areas. The subtle shimmer catches the light beautifully and gives the numbers an almost glowing appearance.
I cut the layered Splendid sentiment from dark brown cardstock, stacked two die cuts together for dimension, and added the same shimmery pigment ink over the letters for a cohesive finish.
To complete the design, I die cut the seed packet edge from black mirror cardstock and added it at the bottom of the tag as a decorative border. I arranged the potted pansies on the tag, and layered everything onto the CardLab base.
For embellishments, I tied cream baker’s twine through the tag, added a black twine bow, and finished it with the May month label cut from black mirror cardstock. Since the Pansy Seed Company was April’s Die of the Month, I thought May was the perfect choice—after all, April showers bring May flowers!
As a final touch, I found a wooden embellishment in my stash that simply says “Grow.” It couldn’t have been more perfect for this project.
July Card – Amalfi Breeze
My second card was inspired by summer and features the beautiful Amalfi Breeze collection.
With the temperatures soaring lately, a relaxing beach day sounded like the perfect theme!
I had previously die cut the sunbathing girl but never found the right project for her, so this felt like the ideal opportunity.
The CardLab base was cut from Spellbinders Breeze cardstock, while the torn-edge layer was cut from Waterfall cardstock and embossed with the Mariner’s Weave 3D Embossing Folder. Together, the colors and texture create the look of gently moving water.
After embossing, I lightly ink blended around the edges for additional depth.
One fun discovery I made while creating this project was that the torn-edge rectangle die can also be used to trim the rounded tag, allowing you to create torn edges on the sides or bottom. It’s a great way to get even more versatility from the set.
The layered tag was embossed with the Number Field 3D Embossing Folder, and this time I highlighted the numbers with a dark brown shimmer ink. The finished look reminds me of weathered, rusted metal.
I also gave my sunbather a brand-new beach towel! Using the Damask 3D Embossing Folder, I embossed yellow cardstock before brushing white pigment ink across the raised pattern. The detail is absolutely gorgeous. Blue Spruce and Carrot cardstock created the towel fringe for a fun finishing touch.
One of my favorite details in the CardLab set is the collection of seasonal hole reinforcers. For this project, I chose the adorable sun design cut from Saffron cardstock.
After assembling all of the layers, I attached the sunbathing girl using a combination of foam adhesive and liquid glue for added dimension.
The This Month label was die cut from matte gold cardstock and attached with tiny gold brads, while a layered stitched heart added another pop of color.
To finish everything off, I tied chiffon ribbon through the tag, added the July month label with cream twine, and clipped a small brass clip to the top.
October Card – Boo Crew
For my final CardLab project, I couldn’t resist creating a fun Halloween-themed design using the adorable Simon Hurley Boo Crew dies.
I dressed two little ghosts with glasses, hats, and ties before adding soft ink blending and tiny iridescent gems for shimmery cheeks.
The main tag was cut from Spellbinders Raven cardstock. I used the torn-edge die to trim both the top and bottom before embossing the pieces with the Number Field 3D Embossing Folder. A dark blue shimmer ink brushed across the raised numbers creates a beautiful glowing effect against the black cardstock. Perfect for the Halloween theme.
The background tag was cut from Mulberry cardstock with added soft ink blending and shimmery splatter for added texture.
For the CardLab base, I combined bright green cardstock with a torn-edge layer cut from Rainforest cardstock and embossed with the Damask 3D Embossing Folder. The embossing is subtle but adds wonderful texture.
I created a wooden Trick or Treat sign using older Spellbinders dies, attached it to a signpost from the Trail’s End collection, and added a few glitter cardstock bats in the background.
The ghosts were popped up with foam adhesive, and I finished the project with black ribbon, a small brass key tied with black twine, and the October month label cut from black mirror cardstock and attached with a brass clip.
A Fun Journaling Detail
One thing I especially love about the Torn Edges CardLab dies is the amount of space they leave for documenting memories.
Rather than writing directly on the front, I used the older Push Pin Notes die to create tiny Post-it style notes for the back of each card. It’s such a fun interactive element, and any small note die would work just as well.
Final Thoughts
If traditional scrapbook layouts have ever felt a little intimidating, I highly recommend taking a look at the new Turn the Page collection. These CardLab projects are a fun, approachable way to document special memories without the commitment of a full scrapbook page.
Whether you’re creating keepsakes for a journal, filling the CardLab Box, or simply looking for a new creative outlet, this collection offers endless possibilities.
That wraps up my projects featuring the Spellbinders Turn the Page Collection by Esther Glas. I hope these ideas have inspired you to explore this wonderful collection of dies, stamps, papers, die cuts, stickers, and rub-ons.
I have linked all of the products in the collection including the Number Field 3d Embossing Folder and Torn Edges CardLab dies as well as all of the products in the collection below.
