Gather where Warmth is Poured!

Hello and welcome!

I’m back today with another card featuring one of the new stamp and die sets from the Dare 2B Artzy Teapots & Tiny Tales release. I seriously cannot get over how adorable this entire release is!

I know we just had our Dare 2B Artzy HOP celebrating the new release, and many of the projects were geared toward Christmas cards. The new Dare 2B Artzy products are absolutely perfect for creating those holiday cards!

But what if, like me, you’re not quite ready for the holidays yet? What if you’re ready for those cool, crisp days of fall—wearing cozy sweaters, watching the leaves change colors, and enjoying those quiet, cozy days inside?

I figured I couldn’t be the only one wishing for fall, so I challenged myself to create a fall-inspired card using one of the new release stamp and die sets from Dare 2B Artzy.

I decided that the Woodland Teapot Cottage stamp set would be perfect for creating a cozy fall card.

To start, I stamped all of my images using Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black Ink onto 120 lb. cardstock.

I colored all of the images using warm, neutral colors, trying my best to stay away from a traditional Christmas color palette. Coloring the teapot a warm yellow was a big change for me because I rarely color with yellow. Since I colored it first, though, it really helped set the color palette for the rest of the images.

Even though the stamp set includes poinsettias in the scene, I decided to color them a soft cream color. I originally wanted to make them white, but it can be a bit challenging to represent white without adding blue or gray—and I didn’t want to use either of those colors. I think the cream turned out perfectly for this cozy fall scene!

Once all of the images were colored, I cut them out using the coordinating die set.

Next, I used the Horizontal Center Step Die Set and cut the card base from green cardstock. I cut all of the layering pieces from a darker green cardstock.

Using the flag dies from the set, along with the scalloped center-piece die, I cut additional pieces from the cable-knit sweater patterned paper found on the back of the Cozy Cut-Aparts paper from the new release. I layered these pieces over the dark green cardstock to add some extra texture and interest to the card.

Then it was time to add all of my little woodland images! I attached them to the card base using dimensional foam, which gave the scene some fun dimension.

For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed “Gather where warmth is Poured” and then die cut it using the largest sentiment flag die included in the Woodland Teapot Cottage coordinating die set.

Once the sentiment was cut out, I added a strip of the green plaid paper cut from the top edge of the Cozy Cut-Aparts paper. I trimmed one end into a little flag shape so it would coordinate with the sentiment strip.

Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a little sparkle! I used a Gelly Roll Stardust pen to add a few glittery accents here and there.

And now I’m ready to go visit my little woodland friends in their cozy fall teapot cottage! It looks like the perfect place to spend a crisp fall day. 🍂☕️
