Adorable Trick or Treat Card with Dare 2B ARtzy
Hello and happy Monday. Welcome back!
I am a Fall person at heart and I love all things fall including Halloween.
Dare 2B Artzy has a brand-new Halloween stamp set that I was so excited to play with. The new stamp set is called Trick or Treat. It features three adorable furry friends; an adorable kitty and two puppies as well as an overflowing Jack O’Lantern treat bucket and a cute little Caramel Apple. There is also a little dog bone and a piece of candy. The set includes 5 sentiments and there is also a coordinating die set.

As a dog and cat owner we have dressed our “fur” kids up in Halloween costumes a few times. Of course, we have to be quick to get a picture before they try to take them off. They always look so cute with their puppy dog eyes and kitty cat boredom face as if to say, “OK hooman, take it off!”.
For my card, I have stamped and colored the cute kitty and the little dog dressed in the pumpkin costume, the Jack O’ Lantern treat pail and the caramel apple with my Sketch Marker Brush Pro alcohol markers.
I used the coordinating dies to cut out all of my images.

Next, I used the Night Sky hot foil plate with some blue shimmery foil and foiled it onto some black cardstock. The results are amazing and create the perfect night sky backdrop.
To create the front panel, I cut two circles from the front of an A2 card panel from Neenah 110lb Solar White cardstock. The circles I used were from the Double Dot Circle Framelet Die set and measure 2 7/8.
I had a piece of the purple polka dot paper from the Summer Breeze 6×6 paper pack. I had previously used it to cut the Slim Mini Wavy Layers die intending to make a mini-slimline card. I changed direction but still had a scrap piece that had the wavy edge. I traced the circles I had cut onto the 110lb Solar White cardstock onto the polka dot paper and then lined up the Double Dot Circles die so that I could cut my circles in the exact same place.
Once I finished, I glued the purple polka dot paper over the white cardstock. I like the wavy edge detail, it’s a fun element for the card and leaves the perfect white edge at the bottom for my sentiment.
Using the Double Dot Circle Framelets dies again, I taped together two concentric circle dies and cut them from some white cardstock. I used these to make ¼ inch borders for the circles in my cardstock.

I layered the circle die cut piece over the foiled black cardstock with some dimensional foam. This gives me some little windows to add my puppy and kitty images. I added my kitty and puppy to the windows with some dimensional foam.
To add even more dimension to my card, I added a double layer of dimensional foam to the caramel apple and the Jack O’ Lantern.
For the sentiment, I stamped the Trick or Treat from our Furry Friends with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and die cut it using the flag die that comes with the die set. I layered that onto some older (retired) Dare 2B Artzy cardstock. A good alternative to use might be the Orange Plaid paper or the purple Artzy Doodles paper.
I added my finished panel to a piece of orange cardstock and adhered it to a card base made from Neenah 110lb cardstock.
To finish off my card, I used a shimmer pen to add some shimmer to the kitty’s wings and a hint of shimmer to the puppy’s costume as well.

Tonya
