Anyone who knows me knows, I love coffee so this is always right up my alley. I created my coffee themed card using some new products from Dare 2B Artzy as well as some of my favorite coffee themed Artzy stamps that have been out for a while.

To start, I took a page from Jennifer McGuire’s playbook and had to try the double foiling technique. I started out by heating up a solid rectangle hot foil plate. I use the one from Waffle Flower stamps. I let this get hot and even let it heat beyond the solid green light on my Spellbinders Glimmer machine.

Using my solid plate from Waffle Flower, I created a solid rectangular foiled piece of cardstock using some Spellbinders Espresso Bean foil. This is a nice rich, dark foil color that looks like your favorite coffee bean.

Next, I cut a second piece of foil from some Spellbinders Moondust foil which is my favorite. I cut this piece to be a tiny bit larger than my Artzy Deco hot foil plate.

I placed the Artzy Deco hot foil plate on my Glimmer machine and let it get extremely hot once again. My sandwich is the same except that instead of using a blank piece of Hammermill cardstock, I am using the one that I solid foiled the lovely Espresso Bean to create the solid foiled cardstock. Anywhere that the little flourish pattern is on the Artzy Deco plate will foil and because I am using the previously solid foiled Expresso Bean as my paper you will see the wonderful, rich espresso brown through the Moondust hot foil. It is such a cool technique and opens so many possibilities in creating fun hot foiled backgrounds and images.

Using the foiled background, I created a frame using the Dare 2B Artzy Double Stitched Rectangle dies. This gives me a nice, foiled frame for my card background.

To create the background on the card, I used the Latte Love stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy. This one is one of my all-time favorites as I love the coffee word background which is what I used to create the background for this card. I stamped the background with some brown ink. The stamp measures 1 3/8 x 5 3/8 so I stamped it 3 times, rotating it each time to create the background. I also added a bit of sparkle by tracing over some of the letters with my Jelly Roll Stardust pen.

Once my stamped background was completed, I layered my Artzy Deco foiled frame on top with some score-tape.

I stamped and colored my coffee & sweets image from the new Dare 2B Artzy Bistro stamp set. I love all the fun topsy turvy coffee cups in this stamp. I colored the fun image with my Sketch marker Brush alcohol markers. I did cut out the stamped image with the Bistro coordinating dies, but I ended up fussy cutting a bit closer to the image.

I used the new Dare 2B Artzy Mini Hugs Tag Die which I cut from some teal-green cardstock. I tied some brown polka dot ribbon to the tag. I added my stamped image to the tag with some dimensional foam and added the tag to the background with some dimensional foam as well.

Finally, I stamped, and heat embossed the sentiments, “Life Happens” and “Coffee Helps” from the Bistro stamp set. I used Stamplistic Toes in the Water embossing powder. I cut the sentiments with the layering sentiment tag dies from the Dare 2B Artzy Bistro/Little Village die set. I added the sentiments to the card panel with a double layer of foam tape.

For some final additions, I used some large gumdrop embellishments in brown from my stash and I had a tiny little coffee cup shaped button that I took the back off of it and added it to the lower right corner with some dimensional foam. It says I love coffee! It is the perfect finishing touch to my card.
