Gardening with Anya

Hello all & welcome to the new home of my blog!

I wanted to share a cute card with you today. I picked up this stamp from The Greeting Farm called Garden Anya. Spring and gardening always reminds me of my mom who loves to work in her garden or “playing in the dirt” as she refers to it. My mom has a beautiful garden filled with wonderful plants, trees and flowers and she always has the greenest yard on the block. Of course I know that all of that takes long hours of hard work “playing in the dirt”.

I saw this stamp and wanted to do something simple and yet spring-like.TGF Garden Anya

First I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. For the basket of flowers that Miss Anya his holding there are no detail lines so I added a few lines to show the weave of the basket. Once I was finished coloring her I added a tiny bit of Wink of Stella clear to her waist band and to the band on the hat for a bit of sparkle. I fussy-cut her out and then used some dimensional foam to pop her off the card.

The background is an ombre cardstock from We R Memory Keepers “Chalkboard” 6×6 paper pad that I picked up at Walmart. I cut the cardstock using the Die-namics Blueprints 24 die set from My Favorite Things.

Next I selected a nice solid blue piece of cardstock from the Spellbinders Celebrations paper collection and die cut it with the second largest, Die-namics Fishtail Flags die. I selected another piece of cardstock from the We R Memory Keepers “Chalkboard” pad that had a nice floral pattern and used the medium Fishtail Flags die to cut it. These pieces layer up very nicely.  I added a piece of twine from the Spellbinders Celebrations collection and just wrapped it around the floral cardstock and tied it into a bow and then added the cute little wooden embellishment piece and glued this cardstock to the blue one I’d cut previously.

For my sentiment I used some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used the second smallest Fishtail Flag in the set to cut this piece, but had to shorten it a bit to make it fit with where the embellishments were placed.  This cute little “hello you” sentiment is from the Scripty Sayings collection from Lawn Fawn. Love, love, love this sentiment set and I can’t say it enough. It is such a versatile stamp set to use for most anything.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed seeing this quick card creating featuring The Greeting Farm’s, Garden Anya.

Have a krafty, colorful day!
