Spring Scene Card

Hello and welcome back!

It has been so nice and Spring-like here in Colorado! I was inspired to create a fun Spring scene using several Dare 2B Artzy products.

Ever since I saw the newly released Mushroom Messages stamps from Dare 2B Artzy, I wanted to pair them with the Crafty Gnome to create a fun scene card.

Using my OLO markers I stamped and colored all 3 of the mushrooms in the Mushroom Messages as well as the tiny little bee on some Xpress-it blending cardstock. I colored two of the mushrooms in a red and yellow color pallet and the other larger mushroom, I colored in some bright blue, orange and yellow.

Next, I stamped and colored the gnome from the Crafty Gnome set and the sun from the Hello Sunshine Set.

I used the coordinating die sets for all the stamped images to cut them out.

To build my scene, I used some 110lb cardstock and created a mini slimline card base.

I masked off the top of the card panel and used a die cut piece of cardstock cut from the Cloud Slimline Border die to create a stencil. I used that to ink blend some clouds onto the card base using some Broken China Distress Ink.

Next, I used the grass border die and cut two different colors of green cardstock and layered them at the bottom of my card base with some liquid glue. I tucked the die cut mushrooms between the layers of grass using some additional liquid glue.

I added the Sun to the background and partially covered it with a cloud cut from some white glitter cardstock. A second smaller cloud was added and popped up using some dimensional foam.

The little crafty gnome was added to the background with some dimensional foam as well. I also added the tiny bee to the background.

For a finishing touch, I die cut a bunch of small flowers in various colors from the Slimline Tropical Leaf Border die set. I added these to the grass area on the card and then added some small sparkly gems to the flower centers.
