The Christmas Release from Dare 2B Artzy
Hello and welcome crafty friends!
Today I am sharing two new cards that I made with Dare 2B Artzy Christmas release. This release is so fun and it features all things warm and cozy for your holiday cardmaking.
I am part of the Christmas release HOP that Dare 2B Artzy is having an Instagram this weekend. If you participate in the HOP and comment on all of the lovely creations and inspiration from the design team, you could win a $20 gift card to the Dare 2B Artzy online store. Yay!
Dare 2B Artzy is also having a sale this weekend and you will want to check out the HOP over on Instagram to get that discount code for the sale.
To start I am using the new Christmas Magic stamp and die set for both of my cards. The stamp features 8 images, 3 sentiments and a To/From stamp that is perfect if you want to make gift tags.
I stamped my images on Neenah 110lb Solar White cardstock with Dare 2B Artzy’s totally black ink which is alcohol ink friendly. I colored my images with alcohol markers from Altenew.
The first card I created was using the lovely Christmas tree. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and set it aside.
Using the striped paper from the Winter Escape Collection paper pack, I cut a piece to 4 x 5 ¼. I cut it again diagonally starting at 1 inch down from the long side. I cut a 2nd piece of matte gold cardstock so that it would be ¼ inch longer than my striped cardstock to leave a nice border. I used Scor-tape to adhere the two pieces together.
Next, I cut the Dare 2B Artzy Trellis Die from some dark red cardstock. I layered the striped piece on top of the die cut trellis and adhered them together with some liquid glue.

I matted this background to a piece of dark green cardstock that measured 5 ¼ x 4 1/8.
I created a frame for my tree using two of the Double Dot Circle Dies and cut a ¼ inch frame from some gold cardstock and an inner circle that measures 2 ½ inches from some white cardstock. I ink blended on a bit of yellow ink onto the white circle before adhering it with the frame to give the appearance of a glow coming from behind the tree.
The framed circle was popped up with dimensional foam on the front of my card and I added the decorated tree to the center of the circle with some additional dimensional foam.

The sentiment, Sending Christmas Cheer your Way was stamped with some white pigment ink onto the dark red cardstock. I used the coordinating strip die to cut out the sentiment and pop it up underneath the tree on my card front.
For a bit of embellishment, I added some glitter drops onto the tree which really makes it look like the ornaments are are shining and sparkling.
That finishes my first card.
The second card I created features the sled with all of the wrapped packages on a mini slimline card.
I used the Slim Mini Wavy Layers die and cut some of the blue snowflake paper using the largest die. The paper has all of the little hand drawn snowflake asterisk so I used the Jelly Roll Stardust pen to trace over some of the snowflakes to give them a bit of shimmer.
Using the wavy die from this set I cut a piece of light blue cardstock. I used a little light purple ink around the top and sides to give the wintery sky appearance.

To create a bit of shimmer, I used the Distress Spritz in Weathered Wood and sprayed it onto my blended cardstock. I set it aside to dry for a few minutes.
Using the Curve Slimline Border die, I cut a piece of white glitter cardstock to create some snowy ground for my sled. I used the Wavy Slimline die to cut the cardstock to match my ink blended panel. When my Distress Spritzed bedground was dry I adhered the white glitter cardstock to the bottom of the panel with liquid glue.

To help the sled blend with the background, I used the leftover light purple ink on my blending brush and blended it near the bottom and front of the sleigh.
I added the sled to the background with some liquid glue.
The sentiment, Merry Christmas was stamped with a dark blue ink and die cut with the coordinating die. I added it to the card front with some dimensional foam.
My scene was added to a slimline card base made from 110lb Neenah Solar White Cardstock.
For a bit of embellishment, I added some white clay snowflakes to the scene and I used a white Jelly Roll pen to add some stripes and polka dots to the packages on the sled.

That finished up my cards featuring the amazing new Christmas Magic stamp and die set. I think this set is perfect for your holiday cards, tags, hand made gift wrap or even homemade Christmas ornaments.
