Hello…Thinking of You

Hello my crafty friends!

Welcome back! I have a fun card to share today for Dare 2B Artzy and has a bit of everything. A little bit of coloring, a little die cutting, some stenciling and some spraying and splattering.

To start, I stamped and colored the adorable new snowmen and the little bird from the Snow Awesome stamp set. This was the Club Stamp set for the month of February which is now available in the Dare 2B Artzy store. The stamp has a lot of great sentiments and two adorable snowmen that can be used for all occasions.

Once the snowmen were colored, I die cut them using the coordinating die set.

Since I had my die cutting machine out, I also cut two Tags from the Hello Word Die set. I cut those from the Yeti for Winter Paper and the Christmas Joy papers. Both have a nice snowflake background on them.

To create a bit of a shadow and give a peek of a different color, I also cut the tags from some light blue and light purple cardstock and adhered them slightly offset to the back of my Dare 2B Artzy snowflake papers with a bit of liquid glue.

I also cut the tags from some white glitter cardstock to create a snowy slope for my snowmen to sit on. I just cut the little slope free hand, but you could use one of the Curve Slimline Border dies as well.

To create the background, I cut a piece of 100 lb. black cardstock to A2 size. Using the Heart Duo stencil and a pouncer from Picket Fence Studio’s I pounced on some white pigment ink. This step ended up being completely unnecessary because I added so much spray and splatter to the background that you can’t see the white pigment ink. I might have gotten a bit carried away.

Leaving the Heart Duo stencil in place, I spritzed the background with Hocus Pocus Distress Mica Spray and some Phantom Mist Mica Spray as well. I let that dry a bit and then I added some droplets of the Unraveled Distress Mica Spray. When I removed the Heart Duo stencil, I had a gorgeous shimmery background with fun heart outlines.  I trimmed down the panel to be 4 x 5 1/8

I added my two tags, flipped in opposite directions; onto the distressed background with some dimensional foam and placed a snowman on each tag.

I stamped and die cut the Hello sentiment and also stamped the thinking of you this season. I used a piece of tape to mask off the “this season” when I inked the stamp. Once it was stamped, I used the flag die from the coordinating Snow Awesome set and cut out the thinking of you sentiment.

The background was added to a piece of white cardstock that was cut to 1/8 inch larger than my distressed background and added with some dimensional foam.

Finally, the panel was added to a piece of blue cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ that I cut with a deckled edge trimmer and that was added to a top folding card base from 110lb cardstock.

That wraps up my card for today. I will link all of the products I used today below for your convenience.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a crafty day!

Hugs,

Tonya
