December Challenge Dare 2B Artzy

Hello friends! I am back today with another card. This time with a new card for the December challenge. It is the first Sunday in December and that means that Dare 2B Artzy is launching a new challenge. This months challenge theme is:

Myself and some of the Design Team members are playing along with this challenge today. Hopefully you will be inspired to create your own Clean and Simple card design for this months challenge and share it in the link over on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog today.

My card for the challenge features the Santa’s Reindeer stamp set. This is easily one of my favorite stamp sets from the 2022 Christmas release. I mean, who doesn’t love Santa?

To start I stamped and colored Santa and one of his reindeer with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black Ink and colored with my Copic markers. I decided to change up Santa’s outfit to a deep blue-green color. I think it’s a great change of pace for him. If you’re not a fan of coloring, you can easily use the 12×12 paper from Dare 2B Artzy called Here Comes Santa and cut out the pre-colored cardstock with the coordinating dies. I love, love that Dare 2B Artzy makes it so easy to be creative. I’ve linked the cardstock below.

Once my images were colored and cut with the coordinating dies I set them aside.

Next, I cut two pieces of vellum using a 2 inch circle die and then using the same die and one that was slightly larger, I cut two circle frames from some silver glitter cardstock.

I adhered the vellum to the back of my stamped and colored images with some Redline Tape. I used a tiny bit of liquid glue where the images overhung on the vellum to glue the frames around the vellum circles.

Using the scalloped die from the Dare 2B Artzy Slimline Love Framelet die set, I cut a piece of the Chocolate Moose paper to create the background for my card base. I really love the retro snowflakes on this paper, so fun!

The snowflake paper was added with a bit of liquid glue to a mini slim card base cut and scored from some 110lb Neenah Solar White cardstock.

I added some dimensional foam to the back of each vellum circle with the images attached. I added the Santa and reindeer to my background.

Finally, I stamped an heat embossed the sentiment Happy Holiday’s using some teal embossing powder. For a bit of sparkle I added some Ruby Glitter Drops to a few of the snowflakes on the background.

Hopefully you are inspired to create a fun CAS card for the holidays. You do not have to use Dare 2B Artzy products to create your card but it is appreciated. One lucky person will win a gift card to the Dare 2B Artzy store.

I can’t wait to see what you create! Products used in today’s card are listed below for your convenience.

Hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hugs,

Tonya
