Dare 2B Artzy December Challenge
Hi Everyone! I’m back today with new card for Dare 2B Artzy’s December challenge.
It is the first Sunday of December and we have a new challenge theme starting over on Dare 2B Artzy’s blog. This month’s theme is Clean & Simple!
For my card today, I stamped the adorable Yeti all tangled up in Christmas lights with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink. This Yeti is from the Yeti 4 Winter stamp set and features lots of fun Yeti’s and some additional stamps to create the perfect winter scene.
I colored my yeti’s hat and scarf in some pinks and purples and added some little white polka dots on the hat and stripes on the scarf with a white gel pen.
Using the coordinating die, I cut out my yeti and set him aside.
Next, I cut a top folding A2 card base as well as a second piece of cardstock that measured 4 ¼ x 5 ½.
Using the Chevron shaped edge die from the Wavy Slimline Border dies, I cut the second piece of card stock into a chevron shape. I used the wavy border die to cut about ¼ inch off the front of my card base.
I layered the chevron piece on top of my card base with some dimensional foam.
Now that I had a nice wavy border on my card base, I used a piece of the Yeti for Winter paper from Dare 2B Artzy and lined the inside of my card with it so that the snowflakes could be scene peeking out from the wavy cut edge of the front of my card base.
I used the Double Dot Circle Framelets dies and cut two circles; one from the same Yeti for Winter snowflake paper and one from a dark purple cardstock. I glued the two pieces together and then layered them onto the center of my chevron cut piece of cardstock with some dimensional foam.
I used several of the snowflake dies from the Slimline Snowflake die set and the Yeti 4 Winter coordinating dies and I cut them from some white glitter cardstock. I glued the snowflakes onto my circles with some liquid glue. I also added some blue and silver snowflake sequins to the chevron panel and on the circle background as well.
I popped up the Yeti in the center of the circle with some dimensional foam and stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Naughty or Nice stamp set and heat embossed it with some purple embossing powder.
I hope you have enjoyed my card for today.
