Bunny Hop!
Hello and happiest of Friday’s to everyone!
I’m a little late sharing this card today, but it was just too cute that I figured you all wouldn’t mind seeing an Easter card a couple of weeks late. Right?
When I saw the Happy Bunny stamp and die set from Lil Inker Designs, I was in love! The bunnies in this set are cute by themselves, but you also get the different faces to stamp on the bunnies and the little bow tie/hair bow that’s adorable. Plus the glasses were way too cute and you can even create bunnies with a view from behind with the little cotton tail stamp (or use a tiny pom-pom for a fluffy tail).
Since I was making an Easter card, I used some bright colored plaid card stock from Lawn Fawn and a piece of yellow polka dot cardstock as my base. I cut the polka dot paper with a scalloped die and then the plaid with a stitched rectangle die.
The bunnies came together really quickly. To start, I used the Happy Bunny edge dies and cut both of them from some Neenah 110lb Solar White Cardstock.
Next, I was ready to stamp the faces of the little bunnies. I used 3 of the different faces and stamped them using some Memento Black ink. For the ears, I used 3 different colors of pink ink to stamp the insides of the ears.
To add a bit more color to the faces, I used a Zig Clean Color marker and drew some little cheeks on a few of the bunnies and then added some water to them to dilute the color a bit.
For two of the bunnies, I stamped the glasses and added some Glossy Accents to the center of the glasses to give them a touch of dimension.
Finally I cut some of the bow ties for the boy bunnies and a bow for one of the girl bunnies.
I think the finished bunnies are so cute.
For the sentiment, I used the Hoppy Easter sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Hoppy Easter stamp set.
I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with some Ranger Tiger Lilly embossing powder. I trimmed down the card stock strip to a flag shape and then added a bit of light blue Zig Clean Color marker around the edges of the sentiment to make it pop against the background.
I assembled all the layers together and added some flower sequins to the card front and on the bunnies to play up the spring theme.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s late Easter card.
I’ve provided links to all the products I’ve used below.
Hugs,
Tonya
I am glad you shared this even if Easter is past. I love that design and cute bunnies and pretty plaid paper.
