Love Valentine’s
HI Everyone! I’m popping in with a quick card to share today. Things have been a bit hectic around here as my hubby and I are currently packing and purging in preparation to move at the end of February. So I haven’t had much time to create as many Valentine’s cards as I’d like which is a bummer because I have a lot of super cute stamps and dies that I’d love to play with. Maybe I’ll start working on next years Valentine’s cards in March/April when we’re hopefully settled into our new space.
Anyway, I have a super quick card to share. This card started as a result of this amazing embossing folder I received as part of the starter package with my Gemini Jr Die Cutting machine. It came with some dies and two 3-D embossing folders. I had to try one out in my new Gemini and I used the one called Regency Swirls. It embossed perfect with the first pass through the machine and I knew I had to use that embossed panel to make a card.
The gorgeous swirly panel in the background of this card is from that embossing. All I added was a light blue Zig Clean Color brush pen and some water to enhance certain areas of the card. I love the way it turned out. I also added some clear Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen as well to those areas to give it some sparkle.
Next, I used the Concord & 9th dies from the Love You So bundle to cut out the letters and the heart. I cut the letters from black cardstock and the heart from some silver cardstock. I added some more Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen to the letters. Finally, I die cut the little arrow from some red card stock.
I added dimensional foam to all of the letters and the heart and popped them up onto a die cut stitched square from some blue cardstock.
I added another scalloped cut square panel below using some red card stock with some dimensional foam and added it to my card front.
Underneath my fancy 3-D embossing folder, I added a piece of red cardstock and adhered everything to my A2 sized white card base that I created from some Neenah 110lb cardstock.
This was a super simple card, but I think the beautiful 3-D embossing folder adds a lot of beauty to this CAS card.
I’m excited to share this with someone special for Valentine’s Day.
Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I’ve linked to all of the products used in today’s card below at no cost or obligation to you.
Be sure to check back later this week as I’ll be participating in a fun hop with the Dare 2B Artzy team as we celebrate all of the new release stamps, dies, stencils and papers from Dare 2B Artzy. It should be fun!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Tonya
