Something a tad naughty!
Hello crafty friends!
Hope you’re having a fabulous week. I’m thankful that the week is coming to a close. It’s been very rainy and dreary here again this week. It seems like we’re not having much of a summer this year with all the rain we’ve had. Of course, I’m sure I’ll be eating my words come August when it’s crazy hot and dry here.
So I’m just popping in real quick to share something a tad bit naughty that I made for my hubby. Hubs and I will have been married five years in October. It doesn’t seem possible that we’ve been married that long. The time has just zipped by. Some people would probably say we still act like newlyweds on occasion and that’s probably true but I think we have something pretty special.
I like to create fun, sexy and sassy cards for him every once in a while (to keep the fire burnin’ as they say) and I wanted to share the latest card I made for him this week. It’s a tad bit naughty. (Every time I say that word I hear Mel B from America’s Got Talent in my head saying “naughty” with her British accent, LOL!)
The sassy little digi image I used for this card is called Culinary Claire and is from Slinky Tart. She has lots of fun, sexy and sassy digital images available on her site if you’re looking to create something a bit naughty yourselves.
I colored up Ms. Claire with my Copic markers and added a little bit of Glossy Accents to the frosting on her body to give it the sort of creamy look of frosting. I added a tiny bit of Wink of Stella clear shimmer on the hearts on her undies as well.
Once I was done coloring, I fussy cut her out and put some dimensional foam on her to pop her up onto the hot pink cardstock from the Spellbinders Celebrations paper collection which I die cut with the stitched die from the Die-namics Blueprints 24 set. Next I layered that over top of the cherry patterned cardstock which is from Kaisercraft Lulu & Roy paper pad and was also die cut using the small scalloped border square from the Blueprints 24 set. Then I also added some die cut ruffles with alternating sheets of patterned and solid yellow cardstock using the Die-namics Blueprints 14 scalloped border die and layered them up across the bottom of the card for added detail.
The digi image didn’t come with any sentiments so I created my own in MS Word and printed it on Neenah Solar White 80 lb cardstock and die cut that with the medium-sized die from the Spellbinders Conversation Bubbles 3 set.
I added some little white enamel dots for added texture to the card. Here’s my finished card:
I did put a stamped sentiment on the inside of the card. It was a smoopy message of love for my wonderful hubby that I won’t share here.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this card creation (and it wasn’t too naughty for you – just naughty enough).
Hope everyone is planning something fun for the weekend and it includes something crafty!
