Dare 2B Artzy’s Adorable Woodland Friends
Hello and welcome!
I am happy to be back today with a new card for Dare 2B Artzy. This card features the brand-new Woodland Friends stamp and coordinating die.
I could not resist the adorable critters in this stamp set. They are just too cute and they were kind of making me feel Fall-ish so I created a Fall fun fold card.
To start, I cut a piece of cardstock to be 11 x 4 1/4. Next, I turned the cardstock on the long end and scored it at 2 ¾ and 5 ½ on the long side of the cardstock. That created a Z-Fold for my card. This base is basically an A2 size card with the bottom half of the front flap scored and folded back up onto itself.
I cut a 2nd piece of cardstock that was 11 x 2 inches. I scored it at 2 ¾ and 5 ½ the same as the larger piece of cardstock. This will be the panel that all of my colored images will be adhered to.
When I was done scoring the narrow strip, I flipped it over so that the long end was to the left and the short part was to the right on the main card.
For each of the separate panels, I cut some of the Woodland Animals paper using the greenish leafy side to be my backdrop. I cut two panels of the cardstock to be 2 ½ x 4 and one panel was cut to 4 x 5 ¼ inches. I decided to keep the decorative edge of the paper that had the bird trim on it. I thought that went nicely with the Woodland Friends theme. I added the cut cardstock panels to my card base with liquid glue.

For the narrow reverse fold strip, I cut some of the Autumn Plaid paper using the side with the leaf pattern again. I cut two small pieces of cardstock that measured 1 ¾ x 2 ½ for the smaller sections of the Z-Fold and then one piece that measured 1 ¾ x 5 ¼ inches. I added the Autumn Plaid paper to the panel with some liquid glue. I knew my card would have a lot of things going on so I decided to tone down the cardstock a bit by adding some vellum on top of them. I used liquid glue on the larger panel because I new it would be hidden by my images. For the smaller two panels, I added the glue after my images were in place.
Next, I stamped all of the images in the Woodland Friends stamp set onto Neenah 110lb Solar White Index cardstock including the cut squirrel image, the bunny and then I stamped three bunches of the wildflowers an greenery but I only used two of them.
I colored all of the images using my Sketch marker Brush Pro alcohol markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies for the Woodland Friends stamps.

I stamped the sentiments; Hello Friend and Some Friendships Feel Like Home onto the same Neenah cardstock using Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and then restamped it with embossing ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder. I die cut the sentiments using the coordinating dies as well.
To assemble the card, I added a bit of liquid glue near the bottom of the first panel and lined up the long end of the reversed skinny Z-Fold panel adhering it to just the first section before the score line. Next, I added some liquid glue to the back of the last scored section and carefully aligned it and secured it to the main card base. This leaves the middle section open and able to fold and close freely against the card base.
I added two of the wildflower and greenery images to the long strip with some liquid glue. I popped up my squirrel image with some dimensional foam centered in front of the wildflowers. One small acorn was added with some dimensional foam in the lower left corner.

For the sentiment on the main panel above the squirrel and wildflowers, I used the Hello Friend sentiment and popped it up with a little dimensional foam.
In the next small section, I added the bunny and another acorn with some liquid glue to some vellum and adhered that over the Autumn Plaid paper. I was able to hide the glue on the vellum behind my images.
Finally, for the last panel, I added the sentiment Some Friendships feel like Home with some dimensional foam to another piece of vellum cut to 1 ¾ x 2 ½. Then I adhered that in place over the Autumn Plaid paper. I just love this sentiment.
I decided to add some die cut leaves from the Autumn Leaves paper pack behind the skinny panel just for some added interest. You could totally add anything you wanted to it. While I didn’t leave a space for a hand written note, I could add one to the inside opposite the leaves or just above my sentiment section.
This fun fold is ideal because when it is folded up, the card fits into a A2 envelope. Not sure that mine will because I do have a few overhanging wildflowers.

For an added touch, I used some Gelly Roll Stardust pen on some of the greenery to give it a bit of shimmer.
That wraps up my card for today. I hope you are inspired to get Artzy with the Woodland Friends stamp and die set.
As always, all of the products used in today’s card will be linked below at no cost to you.

Tonya
