A Bushel of Happiness with DAre 2B Artzy

Hello Artzy friends! Welcome back!

I am so excited to share a new card today featuring the August 2024 Artzy Clubhouse Stamp and Die, Bushel of Happiness.

This stamp set is so fun to color. I just love the cozy feel of apple picking with the big basket of apples and the ladder with apples on it. So fun! Plus this set can be used into Fall which is wonderful.

I stamped and colored the ladder and basket of apples from Bushel of Happiness. The butterflies, tall flowers and greenery were from Bike Bouquet, Beautiful Inside and Beauty of Nature. Today, I colored all the images with my Sketchmarker Brush Pro alcohol markers.

Once my coloring was completed, I used the coordinating dies for all the images to cut them out with my die cutting machine.

For my card base, I used the Center Step Die and cut it from some heavy weight blue cardstock and made sure to crease all of the folds with my bone folder so they would be nice and crisp.

Using the additional coordinating dies for the Center Step Die, I cut two white pieces of cardstock for the sides, one for the sentiment along the bottom and one scalloped piece for the center of my card. Using the Summer Breeze paper pack, I cut an additional layer from some floral paper for behind my sentiment and one for behind my scalloped center piece from some blue plaid paper.

For the white scalloped cardstock, I stamped the sun in the upper right corner from the Here Comes the Sun stamp set. I colored the sun with two shades of yellow.

Next, I used the Clouds and Raindrops stencil to add on some grass for the bottom of my scalloped piece of cardstock using Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress Ink and added some fluffy clouds from the stencil using Broken China Distress Ink.

I adhered my ladder directly to the scalloped background with some liquid glue and then added the basket of apples and the butterfly with some dimensional foam.

For the side sections, I used the greenery and flowers that I colored. I added one flower and one piece of greenery to a ¼ inch strip of acetate using some score-tape. I scored at ¼ inch from the bottom of each piece of acetate and then added some score-tape to it. I added these to either side of the card onto the valley fold section, so the flowers appear to pop up when you open the card.

Next, I added a butterfly on either side just above the flowers.

The sentiment I used is Wishing you a Bushel of Happiness. I adhered the sentiment to the white cardstock on the bottom panel of my Center Step card.

The back of the card has room to add a white piece of cardstock for any personal message or additional sentiments you might want to add.

I just love how this fun Center Step scene turned out with the Bushel of Happiness stamp and die set.

Thanks for stopping by. I will have all of the products used in today’s card linked below for your convenience.

Hugs,

Tonya
