A Wine Picnic with DAre 2B Artzy
Hello and welcome back! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Today I am back with another card for Dare 2B Artzy. My card today features the Wine Picnic stamp and die set. This stamp features a wonderful picnic focal image with 9 sentiments and two smaller images including a wine glass and a cluster of grapes. There is also a coordinating die set that cuts out the images and many of the sentiments so it makes it a great value.
I have been taking some watercolor classes recently, so I decided to use the supplies on my desk to create a no line water colored card with the Wine Picnic stamp set.
To start, I stamped the focal image from the Wine Picnic stamp set with some no line ink that is safe for water coloring so that it will not bleed when you add water.
Using my student watercolors, I added drops of water to several colors I thought I would use for coloring the image. The details in this image are small so I used a 3/0 and a 3 watercolor brush to be able to get into the detailed areas to add my color.

I used a limited number of colors; blue, brown, green, tan, yellow, purple and a hint of red.
Just as with most watercolors I would color a section and then move on to another section while the first one dried before coming back to add any additional layers of color. This prevents color from bleeding into other areas.
Once I had finished water coloring the image I added a bit of blue watercolor at the top of the image to give the appearance of a sky. I set it aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.
I cut an A2 card base from Neenah 110lb cardstock and scored on the long edge to create a top fold horizontal card base.

Next, I used the pink checkered background from the Bouquet of Happiness and cut it down to 1 ¾ inches x 5 inches to adhered to the top of my card base. Then I used a piece of the purple cardstock from the Picnic in the Park paper and cut it to 2 ½ x 5 and added it to the lower section of my card base with some score-tape. I used a ¼ inch piece of silver matte cardstock across the edge where the two pieces of cardstock met on my background. This just adds a finishing touch.
Once the water-colored image and background were dry, I used the coordinating die set to cut out the cluster of colored grapes and then used the oval framelets die to cut out the main focal image.
With the Oval Framelets, I cut a second framelet that was one size larger from some scrap cardstock. This will be adhered to the back of my focal image for stability.
I also used the Oval Framelets to cut out a frame for my image from some matte silver cardstock. Using a bit of liquid glue, I adhered the frame to the scrap cardstock and then added my water-colored image to the center.

The oval was added to my patterned paper on the center of my card base.
Next, I stamped the sentiment, “to the moments that become” and the word Memories with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black Ink and then used the flag die that comes with the Wine Picnic die set and the coordinating die for the word Memories and cut them out.
The sentiments were popped up with some foam tape and added to the bottom of the framed image. Finally, I added the colored grape cluster to one side of my sentiment.
I left the inside of this card blank as I felt that it could be used for multiple occasions such as an anniversary or birthday card. I like to leave the inside blank until I am sending the card so I can add various sentiments depending on the occasion.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card. I really enjoyed the relaxing process of watercoloring this stamp set.
I will have all of the products used in today’s card listed below for your convenience.
Hugs,
Tonya
