My first St. Patty’s Day Card

Hello and welcome!

Today I’m sharing my very first St. Patrick’s Day card. With the holiday about a week away, it felt like the perfect time to create one. I used the Lucky Charm stamp and die set from Dare 2B Artzy, which includes several fun images that are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day cards.

To begin, I stamped the pot of gold and rainbow, colored them with alcohol markers, and cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Next, I chose two patterned papers from my Dare 2B Artzy stash: the plaid from the Little Wonders collection and the pink floral from the Stay Wild collection. Even though pink isn’t a traditional St. Patrick’s Day color, I wanted the card to feel bright and a little Spring-like.

I cut both papers with the Rectangle Framelets Die (3½ x 4¾ inches), trimmed them to share the panel, and adhered them together. To cover the seam, I used the sentiment flag die from the Slimline Clouds & Border set, cut from yellow-green cardstock.

For the focal point, I cut a 2¾-inch circle from white cardstock using the Double Dot Circle dies and added soft clouds with the Clouds & Raindrops stencil. I also cut a grassy border from dark green cardstock using the Slimline Clouds & Border die, trimming it with the same circle die so it fit along the bottom.

The pot of gold and rainbow were attached with foam tape for dimension, and the finished circle was adhered to the patterned paper panel.

The panel was mounted onto a 4 x 5¼ inch white cardstock layer and then attached to an A2 side-folding card base.

For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” and cut it using the coordinating slim sentiment die from the Lucky Charm set.

To finish the card, I added clear Wink of Stella to the rainbow, gold Wink of Stella to the coins, and a few blue-green iridescent gems for sparkle.

I hope this cheerful St. Patty’s Day card inspires you to create your own lucky-themed cards! I’ll have all of the products used listed and linked below for your convenience.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Tonya
