Dare 2B Artzy’s new Nature’s Whimsey Collection

Hello and welcome back!

Today I’m so excited to share a brand-new project featuring the gorgeous new Nectar-Kissed stamp and die set along with the amazing Hexagon Nestables dies from Dare 2B Artzy!

We’re celebrating the beautiful new Nature’s Whimsey release, and it is absolutely stunning. This collection includes five new stamp sets with coordinating dies, a fabulous 12×12 paper collection, and two brand-new standalone dies that pair perfectly with the entire release. If you love spring florals and fresh, whimsical designs, this release is for you!

Creating the Hexagon Card Base

For today’s card, I used the Nectar-Kissed stamp set, which includes five beautiful images to color (including a stunning hummingbird!) and eight mix-and-match sentiments.

To create my shaped card base, I die cut two of the largest scalloped Hexagon Nestables from Neenah 110lb Solar White cardstock. I scored one hexagon at ¼ inch along the top to create a fold line. Then, I adhered the second hexagon to that ¼-inch flap using liquid glue, creating a unique shaped hexagon card base.

Next, I added a layer of the purple polka dot paper from the Nectar Kissed collection by die cutting the next largest Hexagon Nestable and adhering it to the front of the card.

Coloring & Adding Dimension

I stamped the large leafy floral image along with the beautiful hummingbird and colored them using alcohol markers. For inspiration, I actually looked up real hummingbirds to study their vibrant color combinations. They come in so many breathtaking shades! I selected one color palette as my guide and tried to replicate it on my stamped image — and I’m so happy with how it turned out.

To add dimension, I adhered the floral image with foam adhesive. For the hummingbird, I doubled up the foam tape behind the wings and slightly tilted the body forward, securing the tail with liquid glue. This gave the wings extra lift and created the illusion that the hummingbird is hovering in flight — such a fun detail!

Finishing Touches

To complete the card, I stamped the sentiments “sending” and “thanks,” heat embossed them with clear embossing powder, and die cut them out. Adding them to the front brought everything together beautifully. I added some tiny iridescent nail gems to the center of the small flowers.

And that finishes my card featuring the new Nectar Kissed stamp set paired with the Hexagon Nestables dies!
