Quick & Easy Thank You Card
Hello and welcome back!
Today I’m sharing a quick and easy handmade thank you card using the Dare 2B Artzy Thank You Vertical Die—perfect for when you want something pretty without a lot of fuss.
To get started, I pulled out a watercolor wash panel I made a while ago. Anytime I create backgrounds with ink, watercolor, or mixed media, I save them—even the ones that aren’t my favorites at the time. They’re perfect for fast cardmaking, and I love having them ready to go when inspiration (or time) is short.
I die cut the teal watercolor panel using the Thank You Vertical Die, then cut the same die from white cardstock and pink glitter cardstock. Layering the die cuts together and slightly offsetting the pink glitter layer adds a fun, shimmery shadow that really makes the sentiment pop.
Next, I stamped and colored the largest floral image from the Beautiful Inside stamp set by Dare 2B Artzy. This is one of my favorite stamp sets because the florals are great for wrapping around sentiments or framing focal points. I used the coordinating die to cut out the flower, which I love because it removes many of the tiny sections between the leaves—always a bonus!
I played around with the placement until the flower felt naturally intertwined with the vertical thank you sentiment. Once everything looked just right, I added glue in a few spots to hold it all in place.
For the card layers, I used the small stitched square die and the scalloped square die from the Gift Bag and Box Die Set by Dare 2B Artzy. This is such a versatile die set and works beautifully for layered card designs. The stitched square was cut from Neenah 110 lb Solar White cardstock, and the scalloped square was cut from pink plaid paper from the Festive Prints 6×6 paper pack.
I adhered the sentiment and floral image to the stitched square with liquid glue, then added foam adhesive behind the square before attaching it to the pink plaid layer for extra dimension.
The card base was cut from Neenah 110 lb Solar White cardstock to 7½ x 3¾ inches and scored at 3¾ inches. To finish things off, I added a few iridescent gems to the card front for a little extra sparkle.
I love how easy it is to create multiple quick thank you cards using the Vertical Thank You Die paired with different Dare 2B Artzy stamps—perfect for building up a card stash or creating and giving as a gift set.
As always, I’ll link all the products I used below for your convenience.
Thanks so much for stopping by—I truly appreciate you!
Hugs,
Tonya
