Have A Brew-tiful Day!

Hello, crafty friends! I’m excited to share a fun stamp from the Spellbinders House Mouse Heart and Soul collection called Brew-tiful Day. This adorable image features a sweet mouse enjoying an oversized cup of coffee. This stamp set is a red-rubber cling stamp and has 3 sentiment stamps included in the set.

To create my card, I stamped the image in black ink and began coloring with alcohol markers. I then went back in with colored pencils to add extra shading and finer details. The pencils were perfect for enhancing the texture of the mouse’s fur and the coffee beans in the jar.

Once the coloring was complete, I die cut the image using the Spellbinders Essentials Stylish Ovals Etched Dies. I added ink-blended shading to the top and bottom of the oval for extra warmth and dimension.

I layered the oval onto another Stylish Oval cut from purple cardstock and mounted it onto the Spellbinders Infinity Punch and Pierce Plate Etched Die, cut from 110 lb white cardstock. This die creates a soft pierced pattern that adds subtle interest. Behind the pierced panel, I layered a piece of copper-colored glitter cardstock for a touch of shine.

For the sentiment, I used Have a brew-tiful day, stamping it onto white cardstock. I stamped it a second time with embossing ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder for added polish. I die cut the sentiment using a flag die from my stash.

Although I didn’t add any extra embellishments, I did use a Gelly Roll Stardust pen to add delicate sparkle to the steam rising from the coffee cup.
