Christmas Magic with Dare 2B Artzy

Welcome, Crafty Friends!

I’m so happy to be back today sharing a brand-new card for Dare 2B Artzy!

This time, I’m creating with the Snow Globe & Ornament stamp and die set from the newest release. If you happened to snag the Dare 2B Artzy Stamptember set earlier this year, you might notice a few familiar elements — but this new collection includes three fresh images that can be used to build either a snow globe or a Christmas ornament.

The illustrations are absolutely adorable — from a cheerful penguin scene to Santa Claus flying across the moon, plus an elegant, scripty “JOY” sentiment. The set also includes both a snow globe base and an ornament hanger, depending on the look you want to create.

For today’s card, I chose to feature the image of Santa and his reindeer soaring across the sky. I stamped and colored the image using my Sketchmarker Pro alcohol markers. At first, I couldn’t decide whether to make an ornament or a snow globe, so I colored both the base and the hanger. In the end, I went with the snow globe design and set the hanger aside to use on another project — maybe a future tag or ornament card.

Once everything was colored, I cut out all of the colored images using the coordinating dies.

Note: The dies from the Stamptember set are not the same size as these. If you plan to purchase this set, make sure to grab the matching dies, as they won’t interchange with the Stamptember versions.

To design my background, I used the November 2025 Sheetload of Cards layout by Call Me Crafty Al.

  • I started with a red cardstock panel measuring 3 ½” x 4 ¾”.
  • Then, I cut five strips of patterned paper to 4” x ¾” and arranged them following the Sheetload layout (with a few personal tweaks).

Next, I added a vellum layer measuring 4 3/8” x 3 1/8” to soften the patterned background. Instead of placing my focal image directly on the vellum, I die-cut a dark green cardstock circle (2 7/8”) to anchor my snow globe.

I positioned the background horizontally and placed the green circle in the lower left corner — a perfect spot for the globe! I glued the snow globe base in place, tucked pinecone greenery behind it for texture, and finished with a red bow for a festive pop.

For the sentiment, I stamped and heat-embossed “Christmas Magic”, then die-cut it with the coordinating die.

The completed background was mounted onto an off-white cardstock panel (4” x 5 ¼”), then attached to a horizontal side-fold card base made from dark green 100 lb cardstock.

I adhered the “Christmas Magic” sentiment with foam tape for dimension, and glued the snow globe onto the vellum. This let me hide the glue perfectly behind the design elements.

Finally, I added a few off-white gems with liquid glue for a subtle shimmer and finishing touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope my card inspires you to create something magical with the Snow Globe & Ornament stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy.

I’ll have product links listed below for everything I used in this project. Hugs,
Tonya
