Create Fun Small Cards with Farmers Market Stamp Set

Hello! Today I have a few fun, little cards to share with you. These all feature the new Farmers Market stamp set.

NOTE: There is a coordinating die set for these stamps, however I do not currently have the die so I used my Brother Scan n Cut to cut out all of the images except the sentiments.

To start, I stamped all images from the Farmers Market stamp set using Dare 2B Artzy’s Totally Black ink onto Neenah 110lb Solar White Cardstock.

I colored each image using my Sketch Marker Brush Pro alcohol markers.

Once finished, I went ahead and carefully traced around each image so that my Brother Scan n Cut would cut the images out cleanly.

I set the cut images aside and started to figure out what else I would need to make multiple small size cards.

Small cards are fun to use to give gift cards, tuck into a gift bag or attach to a package and even to stick inside a lunch bag for a sweet note to someone special.

I searched my stash of Dare 2B Artzy products and pulled out several dies including the Rectangle Framelets Die set, Double Dot Circle Framelets, Oval Framelet Die set and the Nature Layers Dies.

For each focal image I had colored, I tried to figure out which would be the best die to use to frame up the image.

I used the Nature Layers scalloped die and stitched square die for the coffee can filled with sunflowers. The strawberry preserves stamp set was paired with the Oval Framelets die that measured 2 inches. For the strawberry and cherry baskets, I used the 2 7/8ths Double Dot Circle die set and finally for the farmers market cart, I used the Rectangle Framelet that was 3 1/8 inch wide. I also used the next size up die for the oval and circle dies so that I could create a frame.

Next, I pulled out my Dare 2B Artzy papers and scraps and found some papers that I thought matched with my colored images. Note, I think I selected a couple that are no longer available. I will try to link to some other Dare 2B Artzy paper that would be good alternatives and link them below.

I also used some plain colored cardstocks from my stash as frames and grounding for my card images like the strawberry preserve and berry basket images. I cut the same size oval and circle from some off-white cardstock and then embossed them with an embossing folder to sort of give the appearance that they are setting on a table or something. I also added a layer of vellum to tone down the background to make my images pop a bit more.

For the card that features the farmers market cart, I cut green cardstock using the grass border die from the Land & Clouds Border Die set. I cut two layers of grass for some dimension and trimmed them to fit the width of 3 1/8 inches for my panel. I added a bit of depth to the grass using some Rustic Wilderness and a detail blending brush.

I assembled each small card adding the layers of cardstock, patterned paper and adding on colored images using liquid glue and some foam tape for dimension on a few of the smaller images.

The sentiments were stamped with Dare 2B Artzy totally black ink and then restamped with Versamark ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

I cut out all of the sentiments using the sentiment flag die from the Curve Slimline Border Die set.  In some cases, I had to die cut the opposite end again by sliding the die down to make it fit my sentiment so there wouldn’t be too much white space on either end.

Once finished I added some white Gelly Roll pen accents to the images.

Since these are not standard sized cards, you’d probably need to use an envelope maker to create a custom sized envelope for the small cards.

Finished card sizes are:

Farmers market cart  3 ½ x 4 ¾

Berry Best  3 ½ x 3 ½

You’re my Jam 2 ¾ x 3 ¾

Coffee Flowers  3 ¼ x 3 ¼

That wraps up today’s cards. Hope you’re inspired to check out the Farmers Market stamp and coordinating die set from Dare 2B Artzy and create your own tiny set of cards. It really was very fun and would make a nice surprise for someone special.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,

Tonya
