You make life Sweeter!

Hello and welcome!

I am back today and excited to be sharing some fun new products from Dare 2B Artzy.

Dare 2B Artzy just released their Coastal Getaway collection which features some new stamps, dies and of course a beautiful paper collection that coordinates with the stamps. This is such a fun collection for Summer and will have you wanting to take a fabulous seaside vacation.

Today, I am playing with the Lemon Twist Stamp and die set which I have paired with the Ciao Bella and the Seaside Escape papers.

I am also using the Portrait Center Step Die which is also from Dare 2B Artzy.

To start of my card, I cut the Center Step Die from some Neenah 110lb Cardstock. I find that heavier cardstock works well for this because the sturdier cardstock helps it stand up once all of the paper, images and embellishments are added.

Next, I cut all of my patterned papers.

One striped piece for the backer on the Center Step cut from Seaside Escape which measured 4 3/8 x 2 1/2

Two polka dot trim pieces from the top of the Seaside Escape paper. These will be the sides for the Center Step Card. They measure 4 ¼ x ½ inches.

One scalloped backer for the card. It is 2 3/16 x 4 1/8 and was cut from some crème-colored cardstock scraps in my stash.

One stitched piece for the bottom of the Center Step where the sentiment will go. It measured 4 x ¾ inch and was cut from the Ciao Bella pink cardstock.

Finally, I cut a second scalloped backer from the same Ciao Bella cardstock. I did run that through my die cut machine a second time moving the die downward so that it would cut a strip of paper that measured  2 3/16 x 1. This will be my resting spot for my glass of lemonade.

I stamped all of the images in the stamp set on Neenah 110lb cardstock with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and colored them with my Sketchmarker Brush Pro alcohol markers. All of the images are very easy to color so it goes pretty quickly.

Using the coordinating Lemon Twist die set, I cut out all of the images and started working on my layout.

I decided to use the bunch of lemons, the lemonade cup and several of the flowers in both large and small sizes. I saved all of the other images I colored to be used later.

I adhered the patterned papers to my center step card base using some liquid glue for the sides and a bit of dimensional foam for the bottom piece.

Initially I wasn’t going to add anything to my crème cardstock but decided that it needed a bit of color. I ink blended on some Broken China Distress Oxide ink to the upper half of the scalloped cardstock. This made a huge difference and really helped the lemons pop off the page.

Using some liquid glue, I added my pink patterned Ciao Bella paper to the bottom of the scalloped crème cardstock. It makes the perfect table cloth for the lemonade to rest on.

I added some dimensional foam to the lemons and the lemonade glass and used liquid glue to adhere all of the flowers into place.

For the sentiment, I used the You make life sweeter! stamp. I stamped and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  This sentiment had a coordinating die set so I was able to cut it out along with several extras so that I could layer them for more dimension.

For some finishing touches, I used a Spectrum Noir clear shimmer brush pen to add some shine to the lemonade and the flowers.

I also adhered some small iridescent yellow gems to the flower centers.

That finished up my card for today. I will link to all of the products used in today’s card project below for your convenience.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today.

Hugs,

Tonya
