Ear-Resistibly Cute Easter Cards & Project from Simon Says Stamp

Hello and welcome!

Today I am back with a few projects I created from the Simon Says Stamp 2025 Limited Edition Easter Kit. The kit did sell out; however, you can still purchase the stamps, dies and stencils used in the kit and the inks used to create the cards I will be sharing today. As of this post on 4/20/25 many of the the stamps and dies are on a huge discount for Simon’s Easter sale.

The kit included a 2-hour class on YouTube to create 3 projects from the items in the kit. That class is available to everyone free on YouTube. I will link it here for you to check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxR-54mCAL8&t=6692s

The kit included the following cardstocks that were used for the class. You could absolutely use your own cardstocks and colors.

Colored Cardstock in Mint, Sea glass and Lemon Chiffon were included in the kit and cut to A2 Size and pre-scored for A2 Cards. I added my own cardstock in Pale Aqua for the shaker card because some of the Mint cardstock from my kit got messed up in shipping when the Gina K Obsidian ink came open in the package. I was able to salvage a bit of the paper but it wasn’t enough to make a card base from.

The other cardstock that the kit included was:

Hammermill White Cardstock 8 ½ x 11

Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper 8 ½ x 11

Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy Pink Cardstock 8 ½ x 11

I liked that the class was setup as an assembly line where you do all of the paper cutting, ink blending, and all of the stamping, die cutting and coloring. It was a nice way to learn to make these cards and everything was well thought out and very simple to follow and do even for beginning cordmakers. It’s great to purchase a kit and then have a step-by-step class on how to use the items in the kit to make cards and craft projects with them.

For my cards, I followed the step-by step-process from the video except for a couple of variations detailed below.

For both the shaker card and the embossed background on the bunny card, I did use Saltwater Taffy Distress Spritz on the backgrounds. This gave a beautiful soft shimmer that matched the ink blended Saltwater Taffy on the cards and it looked amazing! The sparkle is beautiful! I love all of the Distress Spritz sprays but this is definitely one of my new favorites.

Also, for the shaker card background, I did use Simon Says Stamp’s White Pigment ink and a foam dauber and I added the dashed lines for the argyle onto the panel. It doesn’t show up really well when it dries back. You could absolutely use some glitter paste or something like that to add this detail in with the stencil as well.

The shadow sentiment for the Happy Easter was cut from white glitter cardstock rather than just plain white cardstock

For the coloring on the water-colored bunnies, I didn’t use the Pumice Stone Distress Crayon to color the bunnies. I opted to use Taylored Expressions Liquid Watercolor in Chocolate Truffle for one set and then I did use alcohol markers to color the 2nd set of bunnies for the additional card I created.

For the cards, I opted not to mat my background directly to my card, instead I added some dimensional foam between the colored cardstock and my card base for a bit more dimension.

I also used some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the bunnies’ ears, cheeks and bows for a bit more sparkle.

I think this stamp set is simply adorable and the added value of the free 2-hour class is wonderful so you definitely get your money’s worth and learn to make some adorable Easter Cards and projects with it.

I believe they mentioned that more free classes will be available with future Simon Says Stamp Kits. If you’re interested in the kits at all, it’s a good idea to purchase them quickly as they do sell out. Usually, components of the kit are available separately to purchase from Simon Says Stamp as well.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my Easter Cards created with the Simon Says Stamp 2025 Limited Edition Easter Kit.

All of the products used in today’s card will be linked below for your convenience.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today. Hope you have a very Happy Easter!

Hugs,

Tonya
