Life is Sweet

Hello and welcome back!

Today I have a sweet card to share with you from Dare 2B Artzy’s new Simply Sweet stamp and available coordinating die set. This set was part of the February 2025 Artzy Clubhouse set and it is now available in the Dare 2B Artzy store online.

I absolutely love this stamp set with all of the yummy bakery treats which are so fun to color. The stamp has several sentiments that are perfect whether you’re celebrating a birthday, a friendship, someone special or just needing to send a sweet Thank You card. There are 6 sentiments with lots of mix and match words like Sweet and Friends to pair with the sentiments. It really is the perfect stamp set for all occasions.

To start, I stamped all five of the images onto 110lb Neenah Solar White cardstock with Dare 2B Artzy’s Totally Black Ink. This is the cardstock and ink that I use most often when coloring with alcohol markers.

I colored all of the images using my Sketch marker Brush Pro markers and die cut them using the coordinating die set.

For the background, I used a piece of the Dare 2B Artzy Pretty in Pink paper and cut it down to 4 x 5 1/4 using the largest rectangle stacklet die.

Because the color of the floral print is very bold, I cut a sheet of velum to the same size to tone down the background so that it wouldn’t take away from my colored images.

I wanted to create something to ground the colored images so I used the Trellis Die set with my embossing mat and a piece of yellow cardstock. I ran them through my die cutting machine after misting my paper. This created a nice dimensional piece that I cut down to 1 1/2 inches and adhered to the bottom of the vellum.

From there, I adhered my colored sweet treats using both liquid glue and some dimensional foam to the front of the vellum.

For my card, I chose the sentiment Life is Sweet, Especially with YOU in it. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and then stamped it again with embossing Ink.  Once it was stamped, I added clear embossing powder and heat set it.

Using the coordinating die, I was able to die cut the sentiment out. I added it to the card panel with a bit of dimensional foam.

Once everything was in place, I was able to put glue on the backside of the vellum where the images and sentiment were and adhere it to my floral Pretty in Pink paper.

I added my panel to a top folding card base made from 110lb Neenah Solar White Cardstock.

For some finishing sparkle I added some purple gems to the card front and used a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle brush to add a bit of shimmer to various parts of the colored images.

That finishes up my card today featuring the Simply Sweet stamp and die set from Dare 2B Artzy. I hope you are inspired to pick up this set and create a sweet card for someone today.
