Snuggle Up!
Hello crafty friends!
Hope your year is off to a great start. I know it’s been cold here in Colorado and in most of the country so I thought I would create a card to help you feel warm and cozy.
My card today features the new Smitten stamp and the coordinating die set from Dare 2B Artzy that was recently released.
I used a card from my Color Cube today for some color inspiration. I chose card #272 which features a pallet with purples and green shades which are some of my favorite colors.

I stamped my images with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black Ink onto Neenah 110lb Solar Crest Cardstock and colored with some alcohol markers. I really love the Smitten stamp set as it has all of these snuggly images but the mug with the scarf is most definitely my favorite. It’s just too cute and reminds me of a mug that I gave a co-worker once that had a little button-down sweater wrapped around it which was adorable.
Once my images were colored, I cut t hem out using the coordinating die set. I love how the die cuts out the space between the handle and the mug. Such an awesome detail!

Next, I found some light purple cardstock and used it to die cut the Slim Mini Snowflake Die. I ran the die through my die cutting machine a few times to make sure that I had cut all the way through my paper in all of the areas of the delicate snowflakes.
For the scalloped backer to the Slim Mini Snowflake Die, I cut that from a piece of white glitter cardstock. Since it’s a bit of a challenge to get cardstock adhered to glitter paper, I used some 1/8-inch score-tape around the outer edges of my snowflake panel and then used liquid glue for all of the other interior area’s. I placed it onto the glitter paper and added a heavy acrylic block on top and let it sit for a while to make sure it adhered.

I added my snowflake panel to a top folding mini-slimline card base that measured 3 ¼ x 6.
I added my die cut images to the front of the panel with liquid glue except for the mug which I did pop up with dimensional foam.
I stamped the sentiment, Snuggle up & Relax with Totally Black Ink first then cleaned my stamp and restamped it with clear embossing ink. I stamped it a few times and then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set it. Finally, I die cut the sentiment with the coordinating strip die that comes with the Smitten die set. I popped the sentiment up with a bit of dimensional foam.
For some finishing touches, I added some Gelly Roll gold pen to the coffee cup to make the coffee look a bit more like coffee. Afterall, coffee is liquid gold; am I right? I added a bit of white Gelly Roll detail to the coffee to represent swirls or cream. Finally, I added some white clay snowflakes onto the background and adhered them with some liquid glue.

That’s it for my card today. I hope that you’re able to take some time to snuggle up and relax today! I will have all of the products used in today’s card linked below.
Hugs,
Tonya
