Sending Autumn Greetings

Hello my crafty friends!

I am back with a new fall themed card today for Dare 2B Artzy today. It is finally beginning to have the feeling of Fall here in Colorado as the temps will be cooling down this week from the mid 80’s to some wonderful 70-degree days for this coming week. That has me pretty excited!

This week I am playing with the Bushel of Happiness stamp and die set and I have paired it with the Harvest Hugs stamp and die set to create another Fall scene card.

To start, I stamped the ladder and bushel of apples from the Bushel of Happiness stamp set and I stamped two of the sunflowers with pumpkins from the Harvest Hugs.

I colored my images with my alcohol markers and used the coordinating dies from Bushel of Happiness and Harvest Hugs to cut them out.

In addition to my stamped images, I also cut the grass border die from two colors of green cardstock and two of the wavy slimline border dies to create some hills and I cut three of the clouds from some white glitter cardstock, one large and two small.

I cut a card base from Neenah 110lb cardstock that measured 4 ¼ x 7 ¾ so this obviously isn’t a traditional sized card but it worked perfectly for building my scene. In this instance, I might have to use an envelope score board to make a handmade envelope as traditional size might night fit my card unless I use an A7 envelope.

On my card base, I used the Dare 2B Artzy Cloud & Raindrops stencil and blended some clouds onto the card base at the top to create a sky.

On my grass border, I added on some additional colored grass using my alcohol markers. Once I was satisfied, I glued the two layers of grass together.

For the hills in the background, I cut them from Kraft cardstock and added in some stippling detail with my alcohol markers in different shades of brown and tan. I layered the hills together and adhered them with liquid glue and then added the grass at the bottom with some liquid glue as well.

I placed the colored ladder from Bushel of Happiness in the center of the grass and glued the bottom of the latter to the grass.  I did have to trim off the excess of the ladder at the bottom of the grass but I do have a fix for that.

To correct the area where I snipped off the bottom of the ladder, I stamped the top of the ladder 3 more times and colored the two apples on each stamped image. I fussy cut them out and placed them around the bottom of the ladder and also to the left of the ladder.

I adhered the grass to the bottom of the hills with some dimensional foam. I added them to the card base with some liquid glue and score tape.

Between the layers of hills, I tucked in my colored cluster of pumpkins and sunflowers with some liquid glue.

I added my die cut glittery clouds in the background with liquid glue on two of them and then popped the third smaller cloud up with some dimensional foam.

To add another layer of dimension I added the basket with all of the apple to the right of the ladder with a double layer of dimensional foam.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, Sending you Crisp Autumn Greetings with some Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and then stamped it again with embossing ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder for a nice shiny look to the font. I used the coordinating die to cut out the sentiment and added it to my card base with some dimensional foam.

That finishes up my card for today featuring the Dare 2B Artzy Bushel of Happiness and Harvest Hugs stamp and die set.
