Faith is all you need
Hello and welcome back! Thank you for stopping by.
Today I have a new card featuring the new Faith stamp and die set from Dare 2B Artzy. This stamp has several messages of faith that are perfect for sending heartfelt messages to cheer and inspire anyone. The stamp set features 9 sentiments and two images. The coordinating die set has dies to cut everything out which is always a plus in my book.
I started my card by stamping and heat embossing my favorite sentiment in the set; Faith is not Believing that GOD can, IT IS knowing that he Will. I heat embossed it with some gold embossing powder from Hero Arts.
Since the sentiment would be my focal point, I die cut it with the coordinating die set and I cut three additional blank outlines of the sentiment to layer behind it for some added dimension.
Using the Trellis Die set, I cut it from some 110lb Neenah Solar White cardstock and set it aside. I cut a piece of light-yellow cardstock to be 5 ¼ x 4 which is the same size as the Trellis Die background. Next, I cut a piece of iridescent vellum to match. I layered the Trellis Die cut, vellum and yellow cardstock together with some liquid glue and set them aside with an acrylic block on them to dry.
To create a frame for my Trellis background, I used the two largest Rectangle Framelets dies and held them together with a piece of repositionable tape while I ran them through my die cutting machine with a piece of the Wildflowers in Bloom paper. This gave me a nice ¼ inch frame which I adhered to the front of the Trellis background.
Finally, I stamped one of the flowers (I believe it’s a Poppy) from the Beautiful Inside stamp set using some no line ink. This creates a faint stamped image so that you can color the image, but the stamped line is not visible.
After stamping the flower, I colored it with some Altenew Alcohol ink markers in a blue-purple color with some green leaves and stems. Once I had finished coloring, I used the coordinating die to cut the flower out. To balance my background, I did end up snipping the flower apart placing the two pieces on either side of the sentiment focal point.
I did not add any additional embellishments to the card as I wanted the sentiment and flowers to be the focus.
I added the background and colored images to an A2 Card base with some dimensional foam.
That finishes my card for today. Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out all of the new release stamps over at Dare 2B Artzy here.

Tonya
