A Beautiful Trio

Hello everyone! I am back today with some cards for Dare 2B Artzy. I had so much fun today that I ended up creating three CAS cards. Yes, three!! I felt that each flower was unique so it made sense to put them each on their own card as a focal point.

Sometimes a stamp set comes along and you just have to color it all and create as many cards as you can! That was the case with the new Dare 2B Artzy, Beautiful Inside stamp set. I am absolutely in love with the flowers in this set. This was the Dare 2B Artzy Clubhouse set for April.

If you are a monthly Clubhouse subscriber, you would have received this stamp early as part of your membership. However, this stamp is now available to purchase in the Dare 2B Artzy store. I will have links to this and all the products I used in today’s card at the end of this post.

I stamped each of the flowers onto Neenah 110lb Solar White Cardstock using Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink. I colored everything with my OLO Markers (including some of the newly released colors).

Using the coordinating dies, I cut out all of the flowers. The dies even cut the spaces between some of the leaves which gives a great look to the flowers! Once I had all the flowers cut out, I set them aside to work on the rest of my cards.

To create a background for each of my flowers, I used the Make Waves Hot Foil plate from Dare 2B Artzy. This was a previously released plate, but it is still one of my favorite hot foil plates.

I foiled the Make Waves onto some Glossy White Cardstock using three colors of iridescent hot foil; Aura, Prism and Moondust. Each of them foiled beautifully on the glossy cardstock.

Next, I used a solid rectangle hot foil plate from Spellbinders and used the negative foil from the Make Waves foiling I had just finished. I foiled the negative onto the same Glossy White Cardstock. I added a shim when doing the solid foiling for better results.

Once I had my backgrounds foiled, I used the Dare 2B Artzy Double Dot Circle dies and the Oval Framelets dies to cut out some mid-sized circles that were 3 ¼ inches wide and an oval that was 3 inches wide from my hot foiled backgrounds.

Using the same dies, I chose the next smallest size of die. I taped them in place to keep them even and then die cut the same shapes from some plain white cardstock to create some frames. Each frame is ¼ of an inch wide.

I added some 1/8-inch score tape to the back of the frames and adhered them to the foiled shapes.

For each foiled shape, I added some dimensional foam behind them and added them to a top folding A2 card base made from Neenah 110lb Cardstock.

To create the sentiments, I used the “Birthday Wishes” stamp and the “If Friends were Flowers I would Pick You” from the Bouquet of Happiness stamp set. I stamped each with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink and then stamped it again with embossing ink and added clear embossing powder to the sentiments and heat set them.

I also used the “Have a Beautiful Day” from the Beautiful Inside stamp set. This stamp set has a coordinating die for all the sentiments which is so awesome. Again, I stamped with Totally Black ink and then stamped again with clear embossing ink and added clear embossing powder and heat set it.

I cut all the sentiments out with the coordinating dies and popped them up with dimensional foam before adding them to the foiled centerpiece.

Finally, for each flower; I added a little liquid glue to the edge of the frame for each card and added the flower and held it in place with a glass block until it was firmly adhered.

As a finishing touch, I added some orange pearls to one card and some pink rhinestones to the other card. I didn’t add any embellishments to the third card just left lots of white space.

While these are most certainly CAS cards (especially for me), they each pack a punch with the beautiful colored flowers and the hot foiled backgrounds. I love how these turned out! I think these would be great to make a few more and give as a gift set of cards.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hopefully, you have been inspired to check out the Beautiful Inside stamp and die set from Dare 2B Artzy.
