Yeti for Winter Impossible Fold Card
Hi crafty friends!
I am back today with a new card for Dare 2B Artzy. This was an interesting card to make as it features the brand-new Impossible Fold Die set from Dare 2B Artzy.
For this card, I actually did do a trial run and I had to rewatch Cindy’s video on how it worked from the Dare 2B Artzy VIP Group on Facebook, lol. It is called an impossible fold die because you can’t imagine that it could work, but it does and it has a wonderful pop-up feature.

I cut my card base using the Impossible Fold die from some 100lb cardstock in a dark teal-blue. Once you have cut the base of the card, you flip side A or side B (the largest L shaped section of the card base) to the bottom by folding it backwards. Then just reinforce your score lines on the center pop up element with a bone folder.
It creates this fun card base that you can now decorate. The great thing is that the Impossible Fold die set comes with all of the additional dies that you need to decorate your card base. The die set comes with the base die plus 10 additional dies in various shapes and sizes for decorating your card panel.

For my card, I cut several pieces of Dare 2B Artzy cardstock, more than I needed actually because I could not decide what went well together, LOL! I settled on some paper from the, Yeti for Winter paper pack with the light blue snowflakes, Snow Much Fun paper pack from the backside of the Chocolate Moose paper with the little retro snowflakes in teal and red and the pretty snowflake paper from the Merry & Bright paper collection which features some blue and white snowflakes on it.
I die cut all of the papers and adhered them to the various spaces on the card base. I added one piece of lighter blue cardstock behind my center pop up element.
Next, I stamped and colored the images from an older Dare 2B Artzy set called Yeti 4 Winter and die cut them using the coordinating dies. I had fun coloring the Yeti image, he’s one of my favorites and yes, I gave him a purple face and tummy, LOL!

I layered up the igloo and two of mountain ranges onto the center panel. I did actually cut a small snowy hill from some white glittery cardstock to go on this panel, but you cannot really see it. I popped the igloo up with a bit of dimensional foam.
Note, if you are wanting to add a hand written sentiment to your card, you could add a piece of white cardstock to the back of the pop-up panel to write a personal message.
For my Yeti, I knew that he would be too tall to go on the center panel so I decided to make him a pop-up element as well. To do that, I cut a piece of 110lb cardstock scrap that was about ¾ of an inch wide and 3 inches long and scored it at the center point. I placed the yeti on top of the folded cardstock and traced the cut line between his feet and trimmed out the little triangle so that the folded cardstock would be hidden from the front view. I glued one side of the strip to his back for support. On the other half of the strip, I trimmed it down so that it would fit in front of the pop-up panel but also so that it would fit within the boundaries of the A2 size card base.

For the sentiment, I used the Warm Winter Wishes from the Dare 2B Artzy, Believe stamp set. I stamped that onto some 110lb white cardstock using Dare 2B Artzy’s Pomegranate ink and then cut it out using the flag die strip that comes with the Impossible Background die. I also cut a piece of the dark teal-blue cardstock using the large strip die from the set and layered them together to create the bridge for the front of the card panel.
As a finishing touch, I adhered some teal retro snowflakes around my sentiment and some white snowflake sequins to my background with the igloo, although they kind of blend in to the background. I also added a couple to the red strips of cardstock on the panel as well.
For a touch of sparkle, I added some Gelly Roll Stardust pen to the mountains in the background as well as on the Yeti’s colorful scarf.

That finished up my card for today. I hope you will check out the Impossible Fold die set from Dare 2B Artzy, it is a great fun-fold card base with so many possibilities for decorating your card and making it really unique.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed my card today! As always, I will have all of the products used in today’s card linked below for your convenience.
Hugs,
Tonya
