Dare 2B Artzy Birthday Card | STAMPtember 2023 Limited Edition
Happy STAMPtember 2023! Has everyone been enjoying all of the crafty goodness so far this month? There are so many wonderful companies involved in STAMPtember!
I am so very excited to be able to share one of those companies with you! This year, Dare 2B Artzy is part of this years Simon Say’s Stamp’s STAMPtember Exclusive Collaborations.
This exclusive stamp, Slice of Cake from Dare 2B Artzy is only available while supplies last.
I knew when I received this stamp that I would be creating a bright, bold and festive Birthday Card.
To start my card, I stamped 3 of the fun banners and the slice of cake and colored each of the images with my Copic markers. I used a card from my Color Cube to select a color palette and I think the colors are so cheerful. Who doesn’t love bright pink frosting on their Birthday cake?
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the coordinating die at the time that I made my card, however full disclosure I did use my Brother Scan-n-Cut to cut out all of my images. I am not very good at fussy cutting images so the Scan-n-Cut is a life saver. However, Simon Says Stamp will offer this as a stamp only option for $15.99 or you can purchase the stamp and die combo set for $39.99.
Next, I cut a piece of Neenah 110lb cardstock using the largest of the Dare 2B Artzy Rectangle Framelets dies.
To create a focal point for my slice of cake, I used the Double Dot Circle Framelets dies from Dare 2B Artzy and placed each of the concentric circle dies face down on my crafting mat and made sure they were evenly spaced. Once I was happy with the spacing, I used a couple of pieces of repositionable tape to hold the position of the dies in place.
Next, I ran the circle dies through my die cutting machine with my embossing mat in place of a cutting plate along with my paper cut from the Rectangle Framelet die. This gave me a nice double stitched embossed focal point.
To ground my cake slice, I cut a piece of the blue striped paper from the Sweetmobile Paper Pack with one of the circle dies. I added stamped image on top of the patterned paper with some dimensional foam.
I stamped the Make a Wish sentiment in the upper left of the card with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black ink.
For each of the banners, I used a white Gelly Roll pen and added some details and fun patterns to the banners. The banners were draped along the top of the card with a bit of liquid glue. I really love the banners in this stamp set and think they would be perfect for multiple card occasions and scene building as well.
A second sentiment, Have a Sweet Birthday was stamped and die cut out using the sentiment flag die from the Curve Slimline Border die set. I cut a second piece of purple foil cardstock and layered it so that the tail end would peek out from my sentiment strip.
To add a bit if a festive party touch, I added several flat sequins scattered around the card with a bit of liquid glue. The completed card looks like a party on paper.
The panel was added to a piece of bright pink cardstock cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and added to an A2 size side folding card base made from Neenah 110lb cardstock.
I am so excited that Dare 2B Artzy is part of the 2023 STAMPtember Exclusives!
