Made My Monday!

Don’t you love it when the unexpected happens! I do! It’s the best feeling.

Today, I had my day made by an unexpected bit of acknowledgement from the stamp company Lil’ Inker Designs.

Some of you may remember that I had made this card a while back and featured it on my blog along with the details. The card was made for a friends Birthday.

I never expected it to get noticed but it did.

While I was browsing all the wonderful coloring projects for the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge today on Instagram and Chrissy L (@quip1320) commented on one of my Instagram pics of the card I’d shared asking if I’d known that my card was featured on Lil’ Inker Designs Made it Monday Blog Post!

I was like…uh no?! Wait! What?!!! MY card was featured on a blog?? …..wait…. must find the post on Lil’ Inker Designs. Searched for it and there it was. I’ve linked to it below:

Unexpected and very awesome news! I rarely enter challenges or card making competitions. I think I’ve only officially entered maybe 3 challenges since I started card making and 2 of those were as part of the Dare 2B Artzy design team.  I don’t have anything against them, I just never think I’m talented enough to win and with my full time day job, I don’t have a lot of time to create projects to enter them either.  The crafting community is blessed with a deep pool of very talented people, I just like to learn from those people and share what I’ve learned and create cards and projects that make people happy. Anything outside of that is really just a bonus!!

So today’s unexpected, happy news was a welcome surprise! I’m humbled and honored to have my little card get noticed.

My recognition also means that I get to post this awesome badge on my blog – whoo-hoo! It’s my first badge ever! I actually had to create a new page for my blog for this lovely badge to reside in under the Honors & Acknowledgements page.

Anyway, I thought I’d drop in to share my little tidbit of happy news for today! Maybe there will be more of these down the road – who knows?!
